My purpose in life as I see it is to create happiness within each person I meet. As a personal trainer I feel I am able to help facilitate this through teaching my clients the importance of exercise and healthy lifestyles. I know what it feels like to be trapped in a body that you are unhappy with, and often wonder how you got there. Through my own struggles with weight loss I know what you might be feeling. I understand how hard it is to want to get up and do something for yourself other than eat!

I never thought that I would be someone with a weight problem. I was always a very active kid and did sports all my life, therefore I never really paid attention to what I ate and never really restricted my food intake at all. I also never had a problem with my heigh fluctuating, so I continued to eat what I wanted when I wanted well into my 20's.

My first child was born when I was 24 and I had gained a whopping 60 pounds from that pregnancy. I managed to lose about 20 pounds before my second pregnancy two years later. After my second pregnancy, my scale tipped just south of 200lbs and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to get my weight to reduce.

It took a whole team of people behind me to really turn things around. The team at UMPT kept me accountable on a weekly basis and that in turn helped me stick to my fitness and nutrition regimen. Together as a team we reassessed my goals often and always kept readjusting my workouts and diet to never lose sight of what I had set out to accomplish.

The trainers and coaches at UMPT were my cheerleaders throughout this process and offered me a lot of support and encouragement. Ultimately, I am the one who did the work, but they made it so much easier to stick to the plan



Bridget Wilding

Philosophy
People always ask me what I want to do before I die and the first thing I think of, is change someone's life. Exercise is such an important part of living and is sometimes overshadowed by the other priorities in daily life. I want to help people reach their goals, achieve their dreams and change lives. As a person who has always been extremely active, I find it crucial to take good care of oneself. As a personal trainer, it is my job to take people on a fitness journey, this journey isn't meant to last a couple of months or half a year, I want to show people how to adapt to a fitness lifestyle and start incorporating healthy habits into their lives.

Transition is my magic word, I want you to see results and that is my biggest goal. All I ask is for a little dedication, a lot of heart and lots of sweat! Let's get to it!

I was a track and field athlete for three years during high school; therefore I like helping athletes take their skills to the next level.
